Genshin Impact Leak Teases Significant Battle Pass Update in Version 5.0

New leaks suggest that Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 5.0 update will make a significant change to the Talent materials available through the premium Battle Pass, allowing players to select Talent books from any region as part of the Talent rewards, while also introducing several other quality-of-life updates, such as changes to the Spiral Abyss and local specialties.

A recent Genshin Impact leak is hinting at a major update coming to the Battle Pass with the release of Version 5.0, allowing players to choose between Talent books. The massively popular HoYoverse RPG features multiple different ways for players to power up their in-game characters, with several options for advancement, including outfitting them with different Weapons and Artifacts for optimal bonuses, as well as upgrading each character's individual abilities with Talent materials.

Genshin Impact's Battle Pass provides players with plenty of rewards for consistently playing the game and engaging with its different challenges. Each tenth tier of the Battle Pass rewards players with gacha currency, granting Acquaint Fates with the free version and Intertwined Fates for the premium Battle Pass. The Battle Pass also rewards players with multiple opportunities to obtain EXP materials, Mora, and even valuable resources like regional Talent books and Fragile Resin. The newest change, however, looks to improve player complaints about the available Talent materials, as the upcoming Version 5.0 update will reportedly allow players to select Talent books from any region as part of the Talent rewards.

A recent post shared by Genshin Impact leaker Jokerverse is teasing an update to the Talent books available with the game's Battle Pass. According to the leak, the Version 5.0 update will add the ability for players to choose Talent books from any region as the reward for each fifth level of the premium Battle Pass. The Battle Pass currently only allows players to obtain Talent books from the most recent region, currently granting Fontaine Talent books for completion.

Alongside the launch of Natlan and three new characters, Genshin Impact's Version 5.0 is expected to bring a plethora of quality-of-life updates to the game. The Natlan patch will reportedly add the ability for players to skip Floors 9 and 10 of the Spiral Abyss if they cleared the levels in the endgame dungeon's previous cycle. HoYoverse has also confirmed it will be raising device performance requirements with Version 5.0, likely tied to new graphical features and elements found within the game's next region.

The character leveling process has been a major focus of Genshin Impact's recent quality-of-life updates, making the leveling grind significantly easier. HoYoverse introduced a major change to its World Bosses with the release of Version 4.8, significantly shortening the cooldown timer between repeating bosses. Leaks have also suggested that HoYoverse may add a new in-game tracking system for Genshin Impact's local specialties with the Natlan update. Between new characters, a full new region, and plenty of helpful upgrades, Version 5.0 looks to be an exciting patch for Genshin Impact fans, with the Battle Pass improvements serving as a notable highlight.
