The World of Warcraft Classic Era realms have been plagued with unintended glitches following the Season of Discovery update, including the Rain of Fire spell becoming an instant cast, rendering it overpowered and creating devastating showers of flame, as well as the Netherwind Regalia set losing its textures and appearing as a flat gray color, disrupting the gameplay experience for many players. The development team is actively investigating these issues and working to resolve them.

World of Warcraft's recent update in preparation for Season of Discovery Phase 4 has caused some glitches to ripple out into other Classic Era realms. While these bugs will almost certainly be squashed soon, they are creating some comical problems in the retro World of Warcraft servers in the meantime.

Recently, World of Warcraft Classic implemented a sizable patch in preparation for Phase 4 of Season of Discovery. This update is the first endgame phase of the experimental WoW Classic realm, featuring a brand-new dungeon, revamped versions of iconic raids and world bosses, and tons of class-altering Rune engravings and skill books to collect. However, the implementation of this update has led to unintended consequences, disrupting the gameplay experience in the Classic Era realms.

The recent World of Warcraft update in preparation for Season of Discovery Phase 4 has had some unintended side effects on other Classic WoW realms, introducing several glitches since the eight-hour maintenance concluded, including the appearance of the new Might of Stormwind buff - the Alliance counterpart to the Horde's Warchief's Blessing - on Classic Era and Hardcore realms, an unlocking quest for the Testament of the Divine Steed skill book, and the Warlock's Rain of Fire spell losing its channeling time, leading to hilariously overpowered showers of flame, disrupting the gameplay experience, though these issues will likely be addressed soon by the development team.

Warlock's Rain of Fire

The Warlock's Rain of Fire spell has become an instant cast, rather than being channeled, making it significantly more powerful and creating "hilariously overpowered showers of flame" across the Classic Era realms.

Testament of Divine Steed

The Testament of Divine Steed, a new skill book introduced in the World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery Phase 4 update, can now be obtained, despite not being otherwise added until the Legion expansion.

Might of Stormwind Buff

The Might of Stormwind buff, a Season of Discovery Phase 4 exclusive for the Alliance, has unexpectedly appeared when players turn in the Head of Rend Blackhand in the Classic Era realms.

Netherwind Regalia Set

The Mage's Netherwind Regalia Tier 2 set has lost its textures, leaving the gear appearing as a flat gray color rather than the intended visual.

The Netherwind Regalia, the iconic Mage tier set from WoW Classic, has lost its graphical textures, leaving the majority of the outfit with a flat gray model, rather than the expected vibrant blues and purples.

The bleed over from the World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery Phase 4 patch has caused unintended issues, including affecting the high-stakes Classic Hardcore realms. Blizzard will likely address these glitches, such as the Netherwind Regalia texture loss, before the Phase 4 official launch on July 11.
