Update: Recent update (I just updated from 13.6 to 13.9) has created some terrible lag on long presses, often missing punctuation and other special characters. Other than that, decent accuracy for a 3" phone, though I'd love to see a T9 keyboard layout added to really revert back to some old school touch typing. Still impressed how well it corrects, each key is 48 pixels wide (3.6mm, that is not a typo), and my large thumbs still types quite well most the time!!

This board is almost not usable. It stutters every time I want to use it in any application (WhatsApp, Message, browser, ...) When you start typing, Gboard freezes for 3-4 seconds and not to mentiom that I am using Pixel 8 pro. It is happening for few months and clearing board data and cache helps for day or two. After that freezing starts to happen again.

I had a negative review recently which I am changing to a positive one. What changed? Well, I came to the realization that I was probably to blame for my Gboard not working properly. In fact, I was overloading my phone with huge apps and videos and to the point where I had to get rid of a lot of the apps and videos and clear up some of the memory in order for it to work well again. I believe that Gboard was malfunctioning from my lack of space in my RAM & ROM. It now works perfectly. Yes!

Update: it keeps defaulting back to some ugly pink theme. Multiple times a day I have to change it back to black board. I thought it needed an update to fix, but nope. It's annoying It's been working great for me. But this new GIF thing y'all have going on, where when I'm typing it scrolls through and gets in the way. I can't stand it. I can't seem to find where to take it off, where to deactivate. It's highly annoying already, and it's only been one day. I wish I could post a pic to show.

I am having issues and I can't seem to get into stop. First, when typing instead of just showing suggested words, it will shown entire suggested sentences (which are rarely helpful) and it will stop showing suggested words once the suggested sentence shows up and it just throws off my entire process. Second, this is new and just started yesterday, when using speech to text, it will stop recording what I'm saying to show then stupid suggested sentences! Wth? I had to press the microphone button 9

I was very hesitant to get this but after just a few texts that I sent, I knew that I loved this board. Tonight, I find myself hunkering down in the Gboard settings and having fun adjusting things and adding my own theme and fun little personalized details. The little tutorials were so helpful! I'm very impressed with how easy this transition was for me. I love the Gboard and how new and fresh it appears and it's versatility and fun, convention options and how EASY IT IS TO USE. Thank you.
