The "Bibliotecas UNAM" app provides a groundbreaking way to access and share bibliographic resources and full-text materials, as well as online library information services offered by the UNAM Library System. This app is designed for two main user groups: members of the UNAM community (current academics and students) and the general public. UNAM users can register at one or more libraries, depending on their affiliation or employment, within the National University's various departments. A unique and effective feature of this app is that as more libraries join the project, library services will be accessible to all students, academics, and researchers within the same app. As of September 2023, 33 libraries with 49 collections have been integrated into the app, including 2 General Directorates, 3 Faculties, 7 National Schools, 12 Institutes, and 9 Centers. This version of the app offers 16 services, including a Metasearch engine, access to the UNAM Digital Library, user registration, authentication, password reset, self-checkout, online renewal, current and historical loans, fine status, availability of materials, bibliographic sharing, RIS format sharing, favorites management, personal library organization, geolocation services, email notifications, and user support.
